Job Summary
The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction projects, road building and maintenance, and mining activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, loaders and graders
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment prior to operation
- Ensure equipment is operated within manufacturer specifications
- Follows job specifications and guidelines from supervisors
- Complete equipment maintenance and repairs as needed or scheduled
- Maintain accurate log of daily activities and maintenance performed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years experience in heavy equipment operation
