Job Summary
As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels, managing inventory replenishment, and overseeing the stockroom and inventory associates.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the inventory team to ensure timely and accurate inventory counts
- Lead the coordination of cycle counting and physical inventory
- Collaborate with the Operations team to establish inventory and ordering policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain inventory reports to track key performance indicators
- Ensure all inventory is properly labeled, stored, and tracked in the inventory management system
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline inventory control
- Train and coach inventory associates on best practices and safety protocols
- Oversee the stockroom to maintain organization and cleanliness
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in inventory control or related field
- Expertise in inventory management software and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to lead and coach a team to success
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Regular use of computer and office equipment
- Some weekend and evening work may be required
- May occasionally need to work in a warehouse or outdoor environment
